BIO

Jim Kong is a ghost, a hologram— a deliberate absence in an era obsessed with presence. Choosing anonymity over self-promotion, he never reveals his face, allowing his work to speak without distraction or ego. His art functions as a mirror held up to society, each piece containing subtle yet potent messages: hidden critiques, warnings, and reflections of a world out of balance.

Fifteen Years of Silence. And Then a Single Moment.

For almost fifteen years, I stopped painting.
Life moved, responsibilities grew, and my focus drifted far from the canvas—until a moment that pulled everything back into clarity.

When my mother was diagnosed with cancer, I created a small angel for her—just 30×40 cm.

It was meant to be carried with her into every hospital room, a quiet protector in a place that never feels like home. That tiny painting became more than a gift; it was a reminder of care, presence, and the fragile strength we hold for those we love.

In painting that angel, something awakened.
The silence of fifteen years broke.

My hands remembered what my mind had forgotten.
The canvas called me back—first gently, then unmistakably.

That moment became the point of return.

To color.
To feeling.
To truth.
To the work I had abandoned, but that had never truly abandoned me

 statement

I explore the dynamics of power and the ways large structures shape human experience. My work moves between political allegory, societal reflection and inner transformation, revealing the tensions that arise where personal truth meets collective systems.

By combining bold iconography with psychological resonance, I try to create paintings that challenge perception and invite viewers to re-examine the world around them.

Jim Kong is my Ghost, created to be an anonymous visual artist whose work operates at the intersection of power, identity and inner transformation.

Rather than foregrounding my own persona,

I choose deliberate absence, allowing the paintings themselves to carry the narrative.

Working with symbolic imagery, mythic references and fragments of contemporary media culture, I try to reflects on how systems, structures and stories shape human experience.

My practice spans politically charged compositions, psychological portraits and works that explore consciousness as a site of healing and change.

I want to live and work anonymously; because my heart travels further than I do.
